Back home

Day 11:

The day was so bright and sunny and from the back of our hotel we could clearly see the peak of Kanchenjunga. So the peak which was elusive althrough the journey showed us itself here. Maybe it was a blessing of nature.Since we had time till departure the kids,Sil, Mil and Fil went to a nearby point where the children had some adventure ride through a rope across a waterfall. So atlast they were happy.

We had to reach NJP( Siliguri) by 5 pm to catch our train to Kolkata and from there flight to Chennai.

Day 12:
Reached Kolakata.Had booked a room to refresh ourselves and then off to visit Victoria Memorial Hall and Birla Planetarium. We had some awesome puchkas(golgappa/pani puri) and Kalighatta outside the Memorial Hall. After pleasant weather all these days it was very hot here.We went to Haldiram hotel nearby airport to have our lunch and reached airport by 4:30 pm. We had our flight by 7:30 pm.
Since it was a night flight there was some turbulation felt. None had the appetite to have dinner. We all were kind of homesick.Finally reached home by 11:00 pm.
