Chota Thee

Wonder what am i writing here, only about my sweet little boy,the younger one:)
The nick name for him is Thee.We named him Prithvi but at that time as EO was also small he couldn't pronounce the name and he could only call him as 'Thee'.Soon everyone at home called him Thee, and that's his nick name.

And 'Chota Thee'...well EO is a big fan of Pogo and Chota Bheem and he likes to sing the intro song," Bheem,Bheem,Chota Bheem".Initially,YO wouldn't sit and watch any of thge programs not even ads.If he wants to watch TV,i've to sit beside him, very much against-why i want him to watch TV? So,when he also started to watch Chota Bheem with interest, myself and EO made fun of him calling 'Chota Thee'.Of course,he could do things like Chota Bheem :P

This boy of mine,i don't know,he's very clingy to me .I can see the difference between the two as EO was always attached to his father more.He didn't even like to breastfeed from me.He gave me more heart aches even as a child, more on that later.
When compared to EO my YO was very much attached to me,right from the very beginning. Usually the elder ones will be more attached to the mom and when second one comes in,they'd feel jealous about that. But,in my case, YO is jealous when his brother comes and sits on my lap or if we just hug each other, things like that! He would run towards me whatever job he's upto :)

They can be called the best 'Competetitors' of the world! They compete with each other for anything and everything.I didn't know that sibling rivalry could reach this maximum levels between boys before seeing them! But, i use their competitive spirit to my best use at times,hehehe....You've to look at the way they fight with each other, you feel ,they'll never reconcile again, but within seconds they'll be again in their own world, konjifying, singing or playing. That's the best part of being a child, you never keep anything to your heart.

Some of life's best lessons can be taught to you very easily by children.
Wordsworth has rightly said, "Child is the father of man".

Moving,moving and moved...

For the past six months ,it was going on in my parent's place. So,finally they've moved out from the place they've been living!

My father has got promotion with transfer after nearly 25yrs of service. All these days he's been avoiding promotion, coz it'll always be accompanied by transfer.Of course,he didnt want his children to suffer due to him!

The whole process started when my father took the promotion examination, followed by results , followed by 11/2 mnths training and then the finals were posting.Yes,they've got the place where they wanted to be.

So,even after 5yrs of marriage,i didn't feel i'm away from my parents, because whenever i wanted i used to visit my parents. They were not that close and not that faaaar. But i would miss them whenever i visited my in-laws.
Until last year, before my kids started school,it'd be like, i go there saying,"I'll be there for 1 week" and would conveniently extend it to 10 days or more!
Now i think i can visit them for only once in a year:( Let's see!

If i'd been a person before having my kids, there'd have been lots of emotions within me regards to this. Now it's just running in the back of my mind, while i'm physically doing all that i need to do as a mom and a wife.

This post is just to get relieved off the burden in my mind.

Boys,i hate YOU!

More than ever before i am hating boys in my life!
Yes,there are three men at home and you could guess the rest of the story!!!
Two Chota Bheems and one Bada Bheem ;)
Let me let you through the scene one night...

Paapa comes in late and Maama is tired after the day's work, she lies down on the bed.Paapa has his dinner on his own and enters in.Till then the Chotas were playing the usual stuff among themselves and Maama, after seeing Paapa in,they turn sides:(
Now the EO says,"Maama, you get down."(There's a small bed that we usually lay it by the side of the cot,see we cannot accomodate all 4 in single bed :D)

And after some more conversations, it now goes to "Girls can sleep on bed",i say :P
Continues to "No boys are majority,so boys on bed",from Paapa
Maama proclaims, " I am also a boy then." :O
Then the EO suggests his father,"Pull mummy down like how Chota Bheem pulls off the dragon"

Maama goes,"wah,wah,wah!"

My blogging

Hi,
As i sit to blog today,i'm really worried about the way my blogging is going...very slow indeed:(
With the number of blogs available in the WWW i thought i'll successfully come up as one regular blogger but no,some things don't turn the way you intend them to be....
How many ever reasons be ascribed ,i cannot take it for myself. But i've to rant it out here,if not here, where then?to let off the steam....

Yes,with two under 5-s,it's really turning out to be harder days for me.With both of them having joined their school, the time just flies away by getting them ready ,dropping them and bringing back. With a nuclear home,i've to do all the house chores myself, plan the menu for the day,not to forget the snack box to be packed and that to get it packed early because he's to leave by 7:30.
I need not mention about the other little things but doing them needs real patience!I literally don't know how the clock can work faster than me.I thought ,when my kids go to school,i've all the time for myself, watching the Television, browsing the day's news/surfing the net in my favorite sites that has so much to offer me!

Yes,browsing takes nearly 4hrs of my time and if left ,i can sit day long with this.I've my very own fav blogger sites which consists of cooking blogs and also some mom blogs which provide wonderful insights for the education of the kids, also some social networking sites, that includes the world top ones and also the local ones where i get to connect with like-minded people with whom i can share all my views without any inhibitions....because,i really become mum when meeting persons one-on-one.But,in this way,i sure have my turn and make it a point to share some comments and views.

So many friends/people i've met online now, whom i wouldn't have come across in my life without these sites.I've daily made it a point to interact with these people,so that gives me immense relief at the end of the day.Being at home, all alone, this is the only way,i can let my feelings out and that too with people who face the same situations in their life like me...
My kids too have their favorite sites now, thanks to their dad for introducing them to some of the educational sites.

In our current status, the system with the internet connection is itself being seen as a luxury by some but i consider it as one of the wise investments done in recent days in my house.Yes,it's turning out to be to so useful with all the things written about early learning and educational resources available.I think i'll list up some of the sites i visit with their due permission here.

Continuation of the trip!

Yeah,we then returned to Nashik and went to Birla temple there!
We had lunch at some Woodlands,we were mistook by the name, thought would get some south-indian delicacies :(
It had North Indian thalis and we had to choose among them. The food was good but the rice was too less which we didn't expect, but the ambience was too good!
We then retired to Shirdi for night halt that day!We had our dinner at Arya vysya Chatram which provides free meals to people from the community, and yes the food tasted great at the end of a tiring day!
The next day(7.8.2008) we started early morning to reach Aurangabad,as we had only one day to cover the places there. We had to cover Ajanta and Ellora caves and some local sight seeing inside the city and one Anjaneyar temple where the deity is lying down, there is no other place where you can see this form of the Lord Hanuman.

We had to leave off Ajanta caves from our itinary as we'd only little time left.We reached Ellora Caves around 10:30a.m. and the architecture is really unbelievable. They are rock-cut temples, the architect starts working from the top of the rock and completes his work down. The rocks are called the monolithic rocks! You can read more about this world heritage site here.

We had our lunch in a near-by Andhra Dhaba, the food was just sooperb and we relished it as we got have rice dishes after two days :)
Then went to the Mini-Taj in Aurangabad,it was built by Aurangazeb's son in remembrance of his mother! It is called the "Bibi ka Maqbara".Some re-construction works were going on in the site!

We also saw the Daulatabad fort.We also visited the Panchakki, the water mill to grind the wheat flour used in ancient days!
Then at the end we retired in a lodge for night halt and then took the early morning train to Hyderabad. We reached there by 2:30 p.m,we'd about 4hrs left to board our connecting train to Chennai. But it was raining heavily and all my plans for shopping in Hyderabad was washed away in rains. We were seated in the waiting hall till we got into our train. The next day morning we reached Chennai about 3hrs late.It seemed that the rains followed us in our journey and there was no rains in Chennai,it was as usual hot and we missed the rains now!

This day will be spl for me!
My elder ones' Play school Annual Day was held on that day!I was more excited than him as he did not know the meaning of an Annual day by then!
He was in two variety program and of course he got his first set of prizes that day!
The programs were :
  • An action song
  • Yoga performance
The song was "Here we go round the mulberry bush" and to watch it was a real treat!
My son was very good in yoga, everybody was saying this!Even his teacher was praising him before the program for his sequencing and agility!

The prizes he won were for
  • Drawing
  • Running
  • Cycling
He got a special prize for yoga and he was also NO:4 in OUTSTANDING KID among 20 children!
That made me even more happier!
